A 25+ Year Journey in HR Leadership, Global Experience, and a New Mission to Unlock Leadership Potential Through Sculpt Potential
Through Sculpt Potential, she now brings the experience gained from partnering with CEOs, leadership teams, and thousands of professionals across multiple countries to help leaders, founders, and organisations navigate growth, transformation, and career reinvention.
Founded on the belief that every individual and organisation has untapped potential, Sculpt Potential represents the evolution of Jayamalini’s extensive corporate leadership experience into a purpose-driven leadership coaching and strategic HR advisory practice.
While her corporate roles enabled her to influence the success of individual organisations, Jayamalini recognised an opportunity to create a much broader impact. Sculpt Potential was born from a desire to take decades of leadership experience beyond the boundaries of a single organisation or industry and support many more leaders, teams and businesses in unlocking their full potential.
Before founding Sculpt Potential, Jayamalini, an XLRI Jamshedpur alumna, built a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years across global organisations, including IDP Education, CBRE, AkzoNobel, Novo Nordisk, Motorola, Manipal Hospitals, and Ranbaxy.
Throughout her career, she held Country and Regional CHRO leadership roles, partnering closely with CEOs and executive leadership teams to shape business strategy through people. Her work extended far beyond traditional HR, encompassing organisational transformation, leadership capability, culture, talent strategy and organisational effectiveness across multiple countries and diverse industries.
Having supported workforces of thousands of employees across South Asia, North Asia and beyond, she has consistently focused on aligning people strategy with business priorities to deliver sustainable organisational growth.
Her expertise spans:
Across industries, countries and leadership teams, Jayamalini observed the same pattern repeatedly.
Highly capable professionals were stepping into larger leadership roles. Founders were scaling businesses rapidly. Organisations were investing heavily in growth.
Yet many continued to struggle—not because they lacked capability, but because leadership demands had fundamentally changed.
Technical/ Functional expertise alone was no longer enough.
Success increasingly depended on clarity, executive presence, strategic thinking, influence and the ability to lead people through complexity and change.
The challenge was rarely talent.
More often, it was the gap between potential and sustained leadership impact.
That insight became the foundation for Sculpt Potential.
Unlike traditional coaching practices or conventional HR consulting firms, Sculpt Potential combines deep executive leadership experience with evidence-based coaching and practical business advisory.
Its mission is simple:
To help individuals and organisations unlock their potential and create meaningful, sustainable impact.
At the heart of this philosophy is the belief that exceptional leadership cannot be sustained through capability alone. Lasting success comes when clarity, performance, wellbeing and purpose are developed together—enabling leaders to thrive while helping their teams and organisations do the same.
The approach is built around four pillars:
What distinguishes Jayamalini’s approach is that it is grounded in lived executive leadership experience.
Having spent years partnering with CEOs, leading regional HR functions and making critical leadership and talent decisions herself, she understands what organisations genuinely expect from senior leaders—not just what leadership theory suggests.
Her coaching bridges two worlds: deep self-awareness and practical business leadership.
Clients leave not only with greater clarity and confidence, but with actionable strategies they can immediately apply within complex organisational environments—enabling them to lead with greater impact while sustaining their own energy, resilience and wellbeing.
Today, Sculpt Potential partners with individuals and organisations across four key areas:
Alongside Sculpt Potential, Jayamalini also contributes to the broader leadership ecosystem as a Fractional CHRO, Affiliate Coach with Aon and uExcelerate, and SpeakIn Expert, delivering sessions on leadership development, executive presence, career reinvention, women in leadership, organisational culture and the future of work.
Building Sculpt Potential was never about leaving HR behind.
It was about taking everything Jayamalini had learnt over 25 years and making it accessible to many more people.
As a Regional CHRO, she had the privilege of shaping the success of individual organisations, leadership teams and thousands of employees. Today, through Sculpt Potential, her ambition is larger—to help organisations build stronger leaders, enable professionals to navigate meaningful career transitions, and support founders and executives in creating workplaces where both people and business flourish.
Reflecting on this journey, Jayamalini shares:
“Throughout my career, I’ve seen first-hand that organisations don’t transform unless leaders do. Leadership has a multiplier effect: when leaders grow, teams grow, organisations evolve, and careers flourish. I’ve also learnt that sustainable leadership isn’t just about performance; it’s about clarity, purpose, resilience and wellbeing. Sculpt Potential is my way of extending that impact beyond the boundaries of any one organisation, helping many more leaders and businesses realise what’s truly possible.”
It is a philosophy that continues to guide her work today.
Helping people Reflect. Reframe. Realise. their potential—one leader, one team and one organisation at a time.
