New Delhi [India], February 16: DIA Hotels & Homes is rapidly emerging as one of India’s most exciting boutique hospitality brands, redefining the space between expensive luxury chains and inconsistent budget stays. With a clear focus on affordability, trend-driven design, and technology-enabled comfort, the brand is transforming the way modern travelers experience budget accommodations across the country.
Founded in 2018 by Marc Fernandes, a former professional footballer turned hospitality entrepreneur, DIA Hotels & Homes was built on discipline, resilience, and a strong understanding of India’s evolving travel market. Fernandes began his corporate hospitality career with InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) in 2014, followed by a significant tenure at Marriott Hotels in Goa. During these years, he developed expertise in sales strategy, revenue optimization, and guest experience management.
Through his experience in global hotel brands, Fernandes identified a major gap in India’s hospitality ecosystem. While premium chains catered to luxury travelers, the growing middle-class traveler lacked access to affordable yet stylish, consistent, and experience-driven stays. Budget hotels often fell short in design, technology integration, and overall guest appeal.
DIA Hotels & Homes was created to bridge this gap. Starting in Goa, the brand partnered with underperforming boutique properties and transformed them into modern, design-forward spaces. DIA’s philosophy centers on providing clean contemporary interiors, high-speed Wi-Fi as a standard, dedicated work desks, quick meal options, seamless booking, and professional yet friendly service.
Early properties such as Hotel Linda by DIA Baga, DIABNB, La Maison by DIA, and Contempo by DIA quickly gained popularity among young families, couples, business travelers, and digital nomads. Rather than competing solely on price, DIA competes on clarity of experience—offering stylish and functional spaces without the premium cost.
Since its inception, DIA Hotels & Homes has recorded approximately 300% year-on-year growth in the boutique segment. The brand has expanded from a handful of properties in Goa to over 400 operational rooms across 12 cities, with more than 500 additional rooms planned by 2026.
Upcoming developments include projects such as 360 by DIA in Goa and Kasauli, the 360 Bliss partnership in Himachal Pradesh with over 250 apartments, and further expansions into Karjat, Kufri, and Shimla. These projects aim to combine affordability with premium touches like mountain views, heated pools, eco-conscious design, and experiential comfort.
With domestic tourism in India projected to grow significantly, DIA Hotels & Homes is positioned to become a leading choice for stylish, affordable, and tech-savvy stays. Fernandes remains deeply involved in scouting properties, training teams, and ensuring consistent guest satisfaction, reinforcing DIA’s mission of creating spaces where travelers feel comfortable, connected, and confident without paying a premium.
